The Recording Industry
Association of Jamaica Limited (RIAJam), is a members
trade organization incorporated as a company limited by
guarantee under the Companies Act of Jamaica. The
association is established to represent the interests of
companies operating in Jamaica within the recording
business. Membership is open to registered companies
involved in music production, recording studio
operations, music publishing, music video production,
music distribution and manufacturing.
Membership Drive On For REGGAE ACADEMY
The REGGAE ACADEMY has
been established through the initiative of the Recording
Industry Association of Jamaica (RIAJam) with a view to
creating necessary infrastructure for the planning and
presentation of the REGGAE ACADEMY AWARDS,
an annual recording industry award catering to the
Jamaican and international Reggae music communities.

The management of a music and entertainment business
enterprise which seeks to cater to the international
market is a far more complex activity than most people
would ever imagine. The fact is that it is even more
complex than the management of many of the multi-million
dollar export businesses in Jamaica, including tourism
operations.
